We were touched this week by the story of the Iraqi Youth Orchestra, who are performing their very first concert abroad this weekend at the Beethovenfest in Bonn. The group's conductor, Paul MacAlindin, says it's still too dangerous for them to play in Baghdad, but he hopes the ensemble will be able to give concerts in the Iraqi capital within the next few years.
