Oh my goodness, if I heard someone listening to the Threnody for the Victims of Hiroshima as a breakup song, I'd wonder what on earth the relationship was like!!

While the Gorecki is a fabulous piece, it is way too serious for the breakup of a summer fling. How about Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata (first movement) instead?
